Duesenberg Automobile & Motors Company, Inc. (sometimes referred to as "Duesy") was an American manufacturer of luxuryautomobiles. Founded in Des MoinesIowa, United States by brothers August Duesenberg and Frederick Duesenberg, the company's principal place of operations moved to AuburnIndiana. Duesenberg was active in various forms from 1913 to 1937. A distinctive feature of the Duesenberg was the "bowtie" style front bumper, which used two pieces of steel, with the top piece bent to resemble a bowtie.
